Indie Film Wisconsin Film Festival (IFWFF) is happy to announce today that they will be creating a series of short 10 minute shows using the strange in Southeast Wisconsin to help promote the August Derleth Film Festival.
Mr Clingman, Director of IFWFF, spoke about the announcement: “With so much strange and mysterious lore in South Eastern Wisconsin, from stone pyramids rumored to be in the Rock River to “The Void” in Burlington to what I have been told is proof of the Knights of the Golden Circle in Racine, I can think of no better way to make use of all these strange tales we’ve heard around the campfire and on overcast nights. The series will help promote the August Derleth Film Festival, which is aiming to be not only Wisconsin’s most entertaining horror film festival but to help telling the kinds of stories Mr. Derleth wrote himself.”
Mr. Clingman went on to explain the kinds of stories he was talking about: “This of this series as Kolchak: The Night Stalker meets Fred Olen Ray and you’ll have a basic idea of how much fun the series will be.” Mr. Clingman plans to make use of participants of IFWFF’s upcoming filmmaking classes/networking events at the Actor’s Craft 7th Avenue Theatre & Acting Studio which begin in mid-May.
